Sunday Eucharist for Candlemas - 31 January


Sunday Eucharist for Candlemas - the Feast of the Presentation of Christ in the Temple. Celebrated and live-streamed for our parishes from St. John's Church, Castleside.

The Feast brings to an end the celebrations of Our Lord's Birth, and turns us towards Lent and Easter with the celebration of his Passion and Resurrection.

Eucharist - Feast of the Baptism of Christ


As public worship is suspended once more in our churches of St. Cuthbert, Benfieldside and St. John the Evangelist, Castleside, we offer this Eucharist for the Feast of the Baptism of Christ, Sunday 10 January - originally live-streamed with our Thursday congregation present.

We're sorry that it's been felt necessary to ask the Bishop for his dispensation to suspend congregational services. We'll be keeping the issue under review and will continue and hopefully develop further our online and other provision.
