Like the Church, the Hall is a splendid building dating back to Victorian times, listed for its architectural merit.
But it's also a resource for the 21st century. Recent extension work and renovations - funded by the Big Lottery Fund, Charitable Trusts and local fund-raising - have provided up-to-date facilities for a range of purposes.
Regular activities have included:
Parent and Toddler Group
Luncheon Club
Messy Church
Mothers' Union
Rainbows, Brownies and Guides
Handbell Ringing
Drama Group
Yoga, Community Groups and more!
The Hall has its own management structure as a community resource and is used by a variety of groups and other organisations.

What do we offer?
St. Cuthbert’s Church Hall has comfortable and accessible facilities on two floors - ground level and lower level. Access to both levels is provided by way of a wheelchair ramp through a landscaped garden from the adjoining car park.
Main level
The ground floor (upstairs) consists of a large hall with a stage at one end. Adjacent to the hall is a fully-equipped kitchen with large oven, microwave, dishwasher, crockery and cutlery. Toilets - including a disabled toilet with baby-change facilities - are also to be found on the ground floor.
Lower level
Our latest facilities are located in the Hall’s lower level. Access from within the Hall is by way of a staircase. Disabled access is provided by a ramp through the garden leading directly into Room 1 (the large meeting room) - or directly from Church Bank into Room 2 (the medium-sized room).
The lower level includes two meeting rooms, a disabled toilet and a small galley kitchen.
The two rooms are suitable for meetings, courses and workshops.
